Welcome to NJ ACE-Net
NJ ACE-Net is a strong statewide organization for women in higher education. We are the New Jersey Chapter of the American Council on Education Office of Women in Higher Education (OWHE). Our goal is to identify, develop, encourage, advance and support women in higher education at the 60 colleges and universities in New Jersey.
NJ ACE-Net has been in existence for 35 years and we are stronger than ever. Our executive board has been revitalized this past year with the addition of actively engaged members and increased participation in our program and events.
In 2007 we initiated an Institutional Membership fee of $200. This modest membership fee has provided us with monies to directly support leadership opportunities to our membership in the form of scholarships for women to attend leadership conferences and our Annual Spring Conference held each year in April. Although we as women in higher education have seen much progress made in the past 35 years with many more women at the highest levels in colleges and universities throughout the country, there is still much to do to enable and empower women in New Jersey to reach their potential. A strong state network such as NJ ACE-Net can help women identify career paths, support them with professional development and provide an on-going network of support.
